My player of choice is winampaq. Why? well because i like the interface (playlist always visible and editable plus a couple of other options i like) and it has ogg support. It is also skinnable although I don't really care for that.

P.S.:
You could have given some more options in the poll  there are a lot more players out there than those 2:

-pocketMVP
-winampaq
-pocketplayer 2
-pocketmusic
-gsplayer
-withMP3
-etc...

WMP for me... using WMP 9 on da desktop so it's logical to use WMP 9 on the PPC :) Using it too to convert my music on the fly also to WMA instead of MP3 since they take up that much less space but on my desktop they stay as MP3s

We already touched upon this subject; see this poll (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14244).

My favorite is QCD (www.quinnware.com). Seamless playback RULES!

Well WMP 9 is only on PPC2003 devices, and there is no RealOne for PPC (it's just Real Player, I think)...

But I use Windows Media Player 8.5, as it works just fine for my basic WMA playing needs.

This could definitely go in the software forum, btw.

Yeah. Winampaq is a nice apps. I wish it has more cool vizualizations (like WMP 9's) ...

I haven't tried many players, just a few but my vote goes to WMP 8.0. I love it, but I hate how it is said to "play .mpegs". Props to anyone who can find an .mpeg that their WMP can play. Once I had one or two frames of Robin Williams on it ... but then it froze.
However, for .mp3s, I love WMP because of the extensive button mapping.

Also...What is ogg support? What is an ogg?

Tomtiguy,

An ogg is a music file like an mp3 it is just a different format (Ogg-Vorbis). Ogg is considered by some (like me) to give better quality at lower bitrates than mp3. Another format is wma (Windows Media Audio) which also gives better results at lower bitrates than mp3. Personaly I think wma sounds more 'metallic' at low bitrates than ogg (ogg sounds 'warmer') but I'm not here to start another discussion on this subject

'Ogg-support' means that the player is capable of playing ogg's.
