O2 xda and Yahoo Messenger

I have a O2 xda and tried to use yahoo messenger but it keeps coming up with not connected has anyone else found this. Please help if you can.

the yahoo messenger may have died.

it was working about a month ago provided you setup your connection through a proxy server. but i havent been able to connect lately so im not sure what the deal is....

It just doesn't work. I tried the Jabber Messenger (Now IMOV Messenger) it works well, but does not send offline messages. Can anyone suggest any other third party application that can be used to access yahoo chat messenger server?

Any news on this? I have a TMobile PPC and I would like to use Yahoo MSG with this? Any ideas? I got AOL and MSN working, but I cant connect to Yahoo. Why would they make it so hard to connect?
