I just bought an iPAQ 2215 and tried to install TaskPlus, a free little utility that lists your tasks and birthdays on the Today page.

I had it working for a very short time, but now it takes over the space where the owner information is on the Today page, regardless of where it's placed on the list of items to display. If I click on the area, it changes back to the owner info and all evidence of TaskPlus disappears. I've tried removing and reinstalling and older versions and a million soft resets, but nothing seems to help.
I don't want to do a hard reset unless I really have to, so if anyone is using this software successfully on a PPC 2003 device, I really like to hear about it.
