For the IPAP you:

Go to start, settings, about then select the Device ID tab.

Yeah, I don't see how About would help. Do you have an Asset Viewer or Device Information icon in Control Panel? That might show the serial number....

When you bought it, did you send in the registration card? If so, you could always call and ask Viewsonic. If you didn't, do you still have the card? Does it have a S/N printed on it?
