I don't know what was fixed/enhanced though. There doesn't seem to be a list of improvements at HP's site.

The main thing this update fixes is in response to a bug my company logged with HP. When they recently sent out the ROM upgrade they introduced a minor bug in the Bluetooth driver that did not allow the existing HP Mobile Printing software to connect to a Bluetooth enabled printer. Bluetooth connectivity from the device worked fine and you were able to connect to the printer but the HP printer software would not connect to the printer.

The read me also says has better memory management. I had no problem downloading and installing to my Casio E-200.

Definitely has better memory mgmt/use than the older version which almost never ran becuase of memory issues.

I dn't have an HP but tried ther Canon support. Sort of worked. I've used the Epson and that was solid.

Can this do network printing (using WiFi to HP network printer)?

Yep! When adding the printer, just enter the IP address assigned to the JetDirect device, and you're all set! I really don't print from my PPC at home all that often, but printing from HP Mobile Printing v1.1.1.8 for WM2003 to my trusty old LaserJet 4M works perfectly over the wireless LAN at home.
