I'd like to set up a poll to ask people:

"What are you TOP TEN must have Pocket PC Applications?"

If needed (or appropriate) explain why, too.

Since I am unclear on how to do this correctly, can an admin or someone experienced set this up correctly? Is it possible to do this or is a poll simply a binary choice answer?

Please assist if possible.

Thanks,

Dahmooser

I don't think a poll is the right way to figure this out - it's easier for people just to post their top-ten lists. Your question has been asked quite a bit, so there are useful posts here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10402&highlight=essential+software), here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10832&highlight=essential+software), and here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13814).

For me, the top ten are probably Advanced Explorer, Snails, OliveTree Bible Reader, PDAMill Viewer, TaskPlus, Calendar+, ICBar, PHM Registry Editor, and tdLaunch. You can find all of them via Google or PocketPCFreewares. (http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com)

I agree. How would somebody decide which applications to include in the poll? You certainly couldn't list every Pocket PC application.

Suppose you only picked 20 apps. To get every combination of 10 from those 20 you'd need 184,756 poll options! Even picking a top 10 from 12 would require 66 options!

I assume the poll wouldn't list combinations of ten; it would just list all 20 applications and the voters would choose the top ten. Each voter would only get to vote for their favorite application, though.

Of course, even a look at the Pocket PC Magazine award finalists (http://www.pocketpcmag.com/jan03/winners.asp) shows well over 20 applications.
