I'm in the process of developing a Flash Blogger tool and I'm making the toolbar buttons for Editing your past posts.

What's a good icon to represent "Edit Posts" without putting the words "Edit Posts" on there?

Keep in mind that this is a 320x240 size movie, fit for a PPC screen and the icon is about 15x15 pixels.

It's tough to design icons, so I figure people with better design skills have tackled this years before me. Anyone have some ideas for me?

How about something with scissors? - but that might imply removing or deleting.

I guess I was kinda thinking of the edit button here on PPCThoughts and other forum software...

I looked at that too, though without the word "edit", I may have confused that icon with delete. :?

I always find MS Office is a good source for icon inspiration; how about the "pencil drawing a line" icon I've seen somewhere or other. Right-clicking a toolbar and selecting "customise" shows you them all.

I've seen Un*x and Windows software use the pencil for over 10 years. It's pretty common. IE also continues this convention, FWIW.
