Will the extra 64mb of ram on the ipaq 5550 speed up the os like extra ram does on a pc?

Well... if one could select the amount of ram that one can allocate to run programs ... then yes. I mean... you can also run more programs at good speeds than you would be able to with the normal 64...(57 )

128MB of RAM is a definate and welcome benefit; not to mention it's about time they did this. Every program needs a certain amount of space to operate plus the openning of the file it is accessing. So with 128MB vs 64MB the 128MB will give you not only better performance but you can have more programs running too. 128MB = :D :D :D :D (pure satisfaction)
