I've just spoken to a couple of suppliers in the UK.

Expansys, usually a store that has new models up on it's site even if they just heard a rumour in the pub, aren't taking preorders and don't know when it will be available.

so I spoke to HP online. I eventually got through to the Ipaq dept. The guy there was talking about next week. 8O,but it has been delayed. He took my details and then attempted to transfer me to the sales department. By this time I'm getting quite excited.

Unfortunately the sales department came back with something slightly different. They are expecting them at the end of July - ok I can wait a month or so but they aren't taking pre-orders. :(

If anyone spots anymore prices or release dates let us all know!

2210 for 364.25 (inc) at expansys now.

I've ordered a pre-release, not sure how much they'll cost, not sure when we'll get them 5550.

While I suspect you're right with mid July (knowing Expansys's past performance) - 5 working days takes it 3rd July.

Ah, yes, that is true in the normal world. But in the strange twilight zone of expansys delivery times 5 working days takes us to sometime between July 3rd and August 15th.

I once waited 4 monts for something expected in 11 days.

Dixons and PC World are the same company, that's why they have the same release date, and , as usual, their prices are blatant ripoffs.

If their release date is correct, I would assume the shops in Tottenham Court Road will have it on the same day (that was the case in the past) with much better (and negociable) prices.

I'll be there on Saturday the 12th to buy the h2210, if there is someone else interested we could go together and significantly increase our purchasing power.

I just got this from HP UK, puts release date bit later than expected...
The new iPAQ's that have PPC 2003 already installed won't be available in the UK untill end of July, start of August so it will also be around that time that the upgrade offer will also be launched. At this moment in time we do not have a definite date but just keep checking our web site for details.

Well interestingly Expansys now appear to have stock of the 2210.

Now I have had long involved - it said it will be here tomorrow and it suddenly changes to 10 days- conversations but I've never seen them claim to have stock they don't have on an new product so it made it 3days.

Still no word on the 5555 though :(
