Price drops on PPC 2002? Yes or No?

My wife really needs a new PDA. She still has an old Palm IIIe. I tried to get her to buy a 1910 but she says it's too small and she want's to buy one that can get online somehow, either built in or via CF card.

Since PPC 2003 is coming out on Monday will retailers (both bricks and morter or online) be having deals trying to get rid of older models cheap? If so, what kind of deals do you think I can expect to find for her?

Thanks in advance to all who answer. I've been trying to sell her on a PPC for months and now she's finally ready, but it kinda sux now that I'm telling her maybe it would be better to wait.

Most people will say that price drop is very much likely.

But, lets look at axim X5 standard (the 300mhz model). It is priced at $199 already. if the X7 and X3 is coming, I dont think iX5 standard will drop to below $150. So, it is entirely up to you, whether the $49 difference is really worth dissapointing your wife :wink:
