Replacement for notes app?

I've been searching forums for a couple days and have yet to find a decent replacement for the notes app. I've tried the sticky note apps and even HPC Notes but everything I've found just hasn't suited me. I jot notes down throughout my day and am finding that the standard notes program saves it all jumbled up or tries to say my handwriting is a drawing. There must be a simple app out there that just takes what you scribble down and allows you to save it. That's all I'm looking for..

Any suggestions?
