The connection is being refused. Which new iPAQ are they talking about? We've heard of several models in the 1900, 2200 and 5500 series. See the "New iPAQ Models Coming Soon" article (http://www.brighthand.com/article/New_iPAQs_Close) on Brighthand, for example.

The PE2030A rings a bell. It's the reference written on my 5450, on the back under the battery.

Agency Series PE2030A
COMPLIES WITH CANADIAN ICES-003 CLASS B
IC: 466Q-PE2030A
INPUT: 5V DC 2A
Product of Korea
Tested To Comply With FCC Standards
FOR HOME OR OFFICE USE
FCC ID: BEJPDA-PE2030A

The battery itself has the following
Use with iPAQ Pocket PC PE2030A, B, C, D, E, F, G or H
The later letters are probably more interesting - maybe they were the phone models that never made it into production. :?

I'm not sure this is anything new.

Thanx Fred.

It seems like an updated h5450 with PPC2003

I hoped someone would know which model this is? But it seems an updated 5450 with PPC2003. The so-called "old news" was just an adding to the HP model with PPC 2003 steve. Sorry that i've added it..... ;o)

Don't worry about it; it's better to have too much news than none. It's just best to check the board a bit first to see if the news was already posted. That will save Jason's disk space and avoid having multiple threads dealing with the same topic.

As for the new HP model, I was finally able to check the Web site you linked to and couldn't tell what it was. If it is a 5450 with Pocket PC 2003, that's probably the 5550. However, it's fairly well known that there will be models of the 1900 and 2200 series with Bluetooth, too.

Yep. You are refering the HP iPAQ H1940 (PE2060), iPAQ Pocket PC h2200 (PE2050A) and iPAQ Pocket PC h2200 (PE2050B) Models. They can also be found on the BQP list....

Actually, I think that would have been the better link to start this thread with. It shows all of the iPAQs, the first link being the one in question. That would have made it easier to guess that it was the 5550.

Steve

P.S. Please don't post long links "naked". The board software doesn't wrap them, and it resets the margins for the whole page, forcing horizontal scrolling. Use the URL tags, like this:

[url=http://qualweb.opengroup.org/Template2.cfm?MaxResults=all&LinkQualified=QualifiedProducts&SortCat=QualifiedDate&SortOrder=DESC&search_category=All&search_option=ProductName&search_string=ipaq&search_SpecVersion=All]
New iPAQ Bluetooth Qualifications
[/url]

The above looks like the following when posted:

New iPAQ Bluetooth Qualifications
(http://qualweb.opengroup.org/Template2.cfm?MaxResults=all&LinkQualified=QualifiedProducts&SortCat=QualifiedDate&SortOrder=DESC&search_category=All&search_option=ProductName&search_string=ipaq&search_SpecVersion=All)
See how much nicer that is? :-)

Please consider editing your post and applying my suggestion; you can just copy and paste the code above. If you do, I'll remove this P.S. from my post and we shouldn't have any horizontal scrolling.
