View Full Version : External monitors, 640x480 & an iPaq

The company that I work for has multiple offices and I spend quite a bit of time away from my 'home' office. I have been using my iPaq with a network card to access a Terminal Services server and get access to all of our corporate apps but quite frankly the 320x240 screen is really getting to me. (WAYYYY too much scrolling)

I have been interested in the external VGA solutions that are available but would be very interested in hearing from anyone that is using an iPaq hooked up to an exteranl monitor running at 640x480 resolution.

Not with the iPaq screen in the middle with a border around the outside but with a 'real' 640x480 resolution.

Is anyone doing this? Does it work well? What are the pros & cons of this type of solution?

Any comments would be greatfully appreciated.

have a look at ia presenter (www.iastyle.com), it is a video card, so to speak, in cf-card format.

for ipaqs i believe there are dedicated vga jackets. but i don't have an ipaq so i can't help you with that.
