Being a former user of Palm OS I wonder if it is possible to beam several contacts or appointments at once?

You are aware that crossposting is not considered nice behaviour on this board ???

These were Allesklar?'s first two posts, so I doubt he (she?) was. (Yes, I know he could have been lurking.)

If he is a newbie, I'd also venture that he doesn't even know what "crossposting" means; it's not exactly self-explanatory. Why not be nice and point him to the "Please Do Not Cross-Post" thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12420)?

Also, as the other thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=115046) has an on-topic response, it's useful to recommend continuing further discussion there.

Finally, I predict that Steve C. will lock this thread soon.

Steve,

I was trying to be nice (i could have bashed his head saying it was a deadly sin bla bla bla) by indicating that some people on this board considered it rude behaviour. You are right, i could have given the lnk to the other thread. I do think that crossposting is becomming an accepted term though, but then again, it is better to be clear.

Thanks,

Jaap

I didn't mean to imply you were mean to him; just that there were things that could have been done to be nicer.

As for "crossposting", it certainly is an accepted term, but I'm not sure that people who are new to newsgroups and forums will understand it right away. I usually say something like "Posting the same thing to multiple forums is generally considered bad form. Pick the most appropriate place to post your question, and -- if it really does fit another forum, too -- post a summary of your question there with a link to where the full question is." That eases them into the jargon, I think.

If I'm feeling really nice, I even create the link for them so they can see how it's done. :-)

I didn't think you knew. However, may I suggest checking out the Pony's Posting Proverbs (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11413) thread for more suggestions on avoiding pitfalls and flames?

As for your question, did you follow my link to your other thread? You got a partial answer there.
