Axim ROM versions

I've seen various posts about ROM versions (i.e.: A0, A2, A4, etc....). I did some digging on Dell's site but can't really find what I'm looking for: what is the most up to date ROM version? I recently upgraded to A2, but now see posts regarding A3 and A4. I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on any additional or updated functionality.

A04 is the most recent but there weren't any significant changes after A02.

The most recent version of the ROM is 03

This download is 27MB. A broadband or fast internet connection is advised. On the Axim X5, tap System Information and tap ROM Version. The previous version of the ROM was A00 or A02. The version for this update is A03.

I verified this at DELL website.... You must have account to get the ROM update. Create a user account and you will be able to see exactly what I have highligted above.

Wow I think the huge size was a little unnecessary :)

Anyway sorry I didn't actually LOOK at what the new version was but I thought I saw something about A04 somewhere else too. However I know there isn't much difference between A02 and A03, the Internet Explorer change is the only difference. It was posted on the front page (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/index.php?topic_id=11772) when it came out.

This A03 ROM upgrade can it be used for the UK Axim X5 Performance as well?
I just bought my Axim it has the A02 ROM and it has the PXA255 processor.
I looked on the http://support.euro.dell.com/uk/en/home.asp for the UK and there is no sign of it (not even of the A02 version)

Thanks for the link, I downloaded it already and I am still waiting to hear from Dell Support about it. the switchboard operator keeps passing me to the Dimension help desk :( "sorry sir we will call you back..."
Now is it worth waiting for PPC2003??? :wink:

Spoke with Dell Support today and they said the A03 ROM Update is fine for the UK Axim X5
