I was wondering if anyone knew of any good porgrams for the PPC which allowed voice communication within MSN Messenger.

Like MSN Messenger allows voice communication on the PC, I was hoping someone knew of a program which allowed that same capability, only on the PPC.

Also, i'm sure most of you are familiar with Trillian. Do any of you know of a client for the PPC which allows to talk to multiple clients, all within the same program?

...is MS Portrait, although it is NOT multi-party as far as audio/video is concerned and it is NOT compatible with Messenger. Given that, audio over a 56K dial link is very good, IMHO... Audio AND video over a broadband link or 10/100 Mbps LAN is excellant. Audio on the PPC is half-duplex only though...

Hmm. Interesting.
I was browsing, and I found a link to
Voice Messenger Force
(http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=1&jid=4ECB5A879BDFFE17A325F6851DB8B4AC&productId=21722&productType=2&catalog=30&posit=250§ionId=1458&platformId=2.)

I thought this was kind of dumb, since it offered no trial version, for users to test out. I was hoping someone could come up with an alternative, perhaps one they preferred, and which also offered a trial.

Well, it sounds sort of compatible with Messenger. From the Web page you cited:

* Even if your buddy has not installed Microsoft Portrait, you can still invite him/her from the buddy list of Microsoft Portrait so that he/she can receive a message in an MSN Messenger window, which shows him/her you are inviting him/her and where to download Microsoft Portrait. After your buddy installs Microsoft Portrait, he/she can accept your call.

Well, I have never been able to get an invitation from a desktop to show up on my iPAQ or vice versa... Maybe someone else can help out with that. In my testing with my iPAQ on the internet via a dialup modem or a wireless link to my home LAN, no invitation ever works. Its possible the XP ICF is blocking that, but it was my understanding Messenger worked flawlessly with ICF particularly if UPnP is enabled on the PC running ICF. I can call direct IP-to-IP, both ways, using Portrait however...
