I've been looking for a decent freeware paint program. I'ce found PaintCE, which isn't bad, but I need more options, something more similar to Microsoft Paint. PocketArtist is good, but it's a trial and I can't save my creations. Any help? It's been buggin me that if I need to edit some kind of image I have to wait to get home to use photoshop or paint, etc... Thanks in advance

Try Jinzo, nspencil and nscanvas. Kidpaint is pretty good too.

Here's (http://www.pocketnow.com/reviews/mediacompare/mediacompare.htm) a good overview of a couple different paint type programs.

Microsoft released a version of Paint for CE 2.11 as a power toy years ago which worked with ppc's. Don't know where you can find it now though and I lost my copy. Anyone any ideas?

I didn't have my PsPC 2.11 Pocket Paint install file around anymore and couldn't find it anywhere online quickly, but the HPC 3.0 version seems usable:
1. Download HPC Pro 3.0 Plus! pack from microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/handheldpc/downloads/pluspack/pluspack.asp
2. Try to install the Pocket Paint program (Activesync will tell you it isn't supported).
3. Copy the CAB install file directly to your PocketPC and install it. The cab file for ARM is C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\Plus!\pp_arm_sa1100.cab. Put it in \My Documents on your PocketPC.
4. Run the CAB file on your PocketPC and tap Yes when asked if you want to install this file which was written for "an older version of HPC device"
5. Make a link in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs to \Program Files\Plus!\ppaint.exe (use explorer on your PC to copy then paste shortcut).

It works, but some buttons aren't available in normal PocketPC portrait orientation. Using 640x480 landscape mode in Nyditot I see it is the cut, copy, paste, rotate, brush size, and color selecting toolbar buttons, but they are are available thru the menus which are usable in normal screen size.

Then again, Mobile Pencil (aka nfpencil2) (http://www1.mahoroba.ne.jp/cgi-bin/user-cgi/~nefa/ecafe.cgi?=soft_ce_nfpencil2) is free and supports more colors.
