ActiveSync Problem

Everything was normal yesterday. I woke up today and tried to sync my Ipaq 3970 with my PC.. But suddenly a problem occured. ActiveSync on my PC shows my ppc as Guest although I have set the partnership between them. I though that there may be something wrong with my win2000. I formated my PC and installed everything again. First it worked. But then again the same problem. ActiveSync 3.5 shows GUEST at the window. What is the irritating problem I have and what is the solution?

without your pocket pc connected to your computer, open activesync and
click on file then mobile device. Make sure the name you have chosen for your device is showing there. If you haven't chosen a unique name it defaults to pocket_pc.
Then, on your device make sure it matches by tapping Start,Settings, the "System" tab, About, then the "device ID" tab.
Make sure this matches what is on activesync.

I hope this helps, but I don't have enough info to tell you why it might be changing this on either your computer or handheld.
