Has anyone heard anything about the "huge" announcement from Dell and Good Technologies that was supposed to happen today?

Just wondering

Nothing on Dell's press release site yet...maybe it hasn't happened yet?

I just found this article on Cnet from 4/23.
Dell promised that "April 29 is going to be a very big day."

It is 5:20pm EDT, and I can't find any news on the supposed announcement.

Here's the link to the Dell announcement

(sorry, I don't know how to shorten it)

Nothing exciting at this point.

I also posted a link in the original thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11820)

What a let down. Guess we'll see something from Palm first as they have a 6 month head start over Dell and then something from Dell/Good possibly in the future.

Well, here is an article on Brighthand's front page:

I wonder if this is the X7 we have been hearing about. If so, I will purchase a 2200 and upgrade in about a year.

It's not the X7 if Dell wants to stay competitive in this market. With a hopeful release date by the end of 2004, that would be a horrible long time for Dell to not ship something in between. My guess is the X7/X3 will be incremental upgrades/downgrades from the X5. The Good devices will be something entirely different.

Heck, by that time the new PPC OS that's been floating around (Not PPC 2003) will be close to baked and MSFT may have most of the Good technology incorporated into the OS.

BTW, simzz1, could you tell your Jazz to get it in gear and at least stretch the series out agains the Kings? I don't want the Lakers to have to beat a rested Kings team. :D
