d-pad patch on new x5

Hi,waiting for my axim to arrive and i have a quick question,with the latest rom update is it required to install the d-pad patch or is it part of the rom update.thanks in advance for the help.

It's part of the ROM update now, shows up under the Settings folder, Personal tab. I think the patch showed up under Settings, System tab.
