Every now and then the screen of my one year old Meastro goes crazy. No matter how many soft resets or screen alignings I do it's all screwed up. Well, sometimes it works out fine, but I have no idea why. I've even done a reset, but after a while it was all the same again. The red lines in this image are where the black lines are supposed to be. (The two lower lines are identical. The lowest is where it's shown on my PC and on the otherone where it is on the PPC.)

To make it all extra interesting striking the stylus against the upper edge of the screen a few times often gives this result:

Can anyone please help me with this?

Well, my Maestro's screen sometimes goes a little crazy on me, but nothing as severe as wat you're experiencing. It's most likely a hardware issue - so try to get a replacement unit, or, even better, try to upgrade to a new Pocket PC. There are plenty of good ones at the price the Maestro was/is at.

Yeah, unfortunately as spursdude implies, that's probably symptomatic of a touch screen that's wearing out. If it's not under warranty, clean it, use it as long as you can, and then upgrade. :)

If the problem started happening "suddenly", then it's also possible a poorly-behaved app might be causing it, but I'd be surprised.

Oh :(
I think the best solution would be to let the person I bought it from replace the screen. I can't find enough information on it though. Audiovox' webpage only gives the size and colour information. Where do we start looking? Can I replace it with an other (better) display? The seller is in China close to Japan and Taiwan. Does anyone know about a good store around there?
