I am constantly on the road for business, and admitedly have a luggage fetish. Thought I'd share my messenger bag with you all, it's got a centralized, cushioned PDA pocket that's accessible even without opening the entire bag.

If anybody knows of any other good messenger bags that accommodate PDAs, please let me know.

I work in construction and i use the basecamp. It holds my ppc safely. It has never fallen off my belt. I think it's a good buy. It has a pocket in the front which holds my wireless cf card, modem, and an extra cf card.

I also use Grinder Gear's Basecamp. Excellent for any PDA. I also use RoadWired's The Pod (http://www.roadwired.com/store/Product.cfm?Productid=57) for when I need all my gadgets in a small bag. Great protection and lots of pockets. They also have other neat stuff. Both products get :D :D :D :D out of four from me.

The Pod looks cool... 8O

And Podzilla, way cool... 8O 8O 8O 8O

Hey Wyatt, the Pod doesn't look too much like a purse, does it? I mean, do you still feel manly when you're carrying it? Just curious...cause I like it...just don't want to look like I'm carrying a purse...

I really like my customized bag from:
http://www.timbuk2.com/

There are tons of options to choose from, and I can stuff TWO tons of junk into the bag.

Timbuk2 bags are great at carrying a lot of stuff.:rock on dude!: One thing I am finding, my shoulder is getting a little sore from the excess weight I am able to put in my bag.

Nope, not at all. It's more like carrying a small camera case that only holds the camera.
Don't worry no one will question your manhood. :D So go for it.

I noticed the thread about the Podzilla in here today, but I also noticed that it doesn't seem like it's shipping yet...anybody order the Podzilla, and if so, do you like it?

I wonder what's up with RoadWired? Last month, they said Podzilla would be available in late April, now they're saying ORDER NOW FOR MID-LATE MAY DELIVERY...

What gives?

I use a Patagonia Orbiter (http://www.patagonia.com/za/PDC?OPTION=PRODUCT&merchant_rn=7385&sku=48281&searchID=F4EBFF1D35) from time to time. Not specifically designed for a pda, but there's a pocket which works for it. Good handy bag for just the necessities.

Hi, Michael here from RoadWired... Nickl (and all), sorry about any confusion with the Podzilla delivery ETA. We were actually expecting to have begun shipping them by now, but unfortunately, these days there are all kinds of new, uncontrollable delays that we have to get used to dealing with. In particular, we (and all companies with offshore factories) now have to deal with last-minute outbound port delays due to tightened Customs and security inspections. In this case, the Podzillas were all ready to go, but we lost 2 weeks while they sat on a dock waiting for the proverbial rubber stamp. I'm sure this is more info than you wanted or needed, but I thought I'd share it. The good news is that the current estimates of "mid-late May" are more reliable, since our bags are actually on the way. Really sorry about any confusion and the extra wait, and please do let us know any time you have any questions or concerns!

Thanks Michael,

I guess sometimes there's more than meets the eye when it comes to manufacturing. Looks like a great product, and I'm just excited to order one!

Thanks for the update - I was getting scared for a moment - I imagined packs of Podzillas roaming the warehouse floor, devouring innocent little Pods.

Thanks for taking the time to post here - I'm placing my order right now!

I'm looking for a case to use for my daily, walking around the office or whatever kind of use. The sites listed have some products, and I've seen some others like http://www.eholster.com/, but I don't want to wear something quite as... obvious (?) as a basecamp.

Ideas?

I'm in the market for one of these things, so...

Any changes in opinions in the last year.25?

My daily carry is a Crumpler (http://www.crumpler.com.au/public/home.ehtml) super snipe. Plenty of room and internal pockets for all my PDA gear as well as a pouch for a (smallish) laptop and even some room left over for some work stuff :D.

Crumpler also make a range of smaller and larger bags - great quality stuff IMHO.

I use a Pod also, and prefer to call it a murse.

I ordered one last year about this time and had no problem. I * LOVE * my Podzilla. When I travel for extended periods of time and want as many of the electronic comforts of home as possible, Podzilla delivers. I usually load it up with a personal DVD player, DVDs, travel speakers, headphones, digital camera, iPAQ 5455, spare batteries, AC adapter, standup battery charger and micro keyboard. That way airport security screeners can paw through all the suspicious looking gear without having to go through my suitcase.
