Newbie Question - Planes

I have a dell axim, but was discussing pocket pc phone editions with someone the other day and came up with a question...I figured this was the best place to ask. I use my pocket pc often on plane rides, how would you do this with the phone edition, can you turn off the phone part so that you would be allowed to use it on planes. I am assuming you can do this, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the help :D

Yes. The Pocket PC Phone Edition allows you to turn off the telephone signal (radio). Even those with integrated WiFi (ex. Toshiba e330/740) have a hardware switch to turn off the wireless signals.

I routinely use the T-Mobile PPCPE on flights... although the protruding antenna confuses many flight attendants into thinking it is a cellphone.
