New ROM Upgrade [Archive] - Thoughts Media Forums

I apoligize if this has already been posted but Rollie, the moderator for the official Dell Technical board has stated that we can expect a new ROM upgrade from Dell in April for our AXIMS to fix IR beaming between devices problems. Anyone know any more details ??????

I have been unable to get Peacemaker to connect to any Palms, but I can connect to my phone and PC using IR just fine. I had wondered if there was a problem with the Axims IR, but so far I hadn't seen anything to confirm it.

Seems like I may not be alone!

The new ROM update is up on the Dell support website. I've already updated my Axim, and everything is fine. I was able to remove the D-pad patch, as the new update makes the patch unneccessary.

When you update, just ignore ActiveSync when it tries to make a new partnership. Just use the guest settings and do a restore from the backup you made before upgrading.
