Good day folks,

I'm trying to erase my Pocket Outlook data. Anyone know how to do this?

Thank you.

If you mean emptying your Calendar and Contacts and such, a hard reset is most definitely the easiest way to go.

Here's something you may want to try. Be forewarned it is probably about one of the most roundabout ways to do something but it works and saves you from having to reload all your software after a hard reset.

In Outlook (on your PC) make copies of you contacts, calendar, and tasks (right click on the calendar, contacts, tasks, icon and select copy item). After the info is copied, and you have verified it, you will need to erase all the data in the originals. Something like contacts and tasks are easy, select all then delete. For the calendar do an advanced find without putting in any search criteria. Do a find now, select all the results, and delete. Now sync your Pocket PC - everything should be gone. You'll need to copy back the calendar, task, and contact data on your PC to their original spots. But that should be it.

Wouldn't hurt to make a backup of your Pocket PC before doing this, just in case all doesn't turn out well...

Get dbView (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://ppcf.mklabs.com/index_mobile.php%3Fmode%3Dsoft%26soft%3D152&prev=/%20search%3Fq%3Ddbview%2Bmagenic%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26%3Cbr%20/%3Eie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26sa%3DG) and delete the databases.

Yes, but I'm pretty sure if you delete the database the only way to recreate it is to do a hard reset (who wants to try it to confirm?)...

Good question. I wonder if running the Welcome program would be sufficient to recreate the databases if the system isn't smart enough to do it on its own.

By the way, Pocket Informant has the capability to remove all the PIM data. Do the following:

Tap the "Hammer" menu.
Tap the Clean Up Data item.
Use the Delete All Tasks item and similar items to clear the data.

If you are syncing your calendar with Outlook on a PC, just use the archive tools on the PC version of Outlook. You can can archive every appointment that happened before Jan 1st 2035 then re-sync. I have used this method to clear the appoints on my PocketPC calendar several times.

Thanks...
