Backup battery extremely low...... at 90%? 100%? what's wrong?

i keep getting warnings that my backup battery is very low. what i don't understand is that the actual settings screen shows it as 90 or 100%.

i think that it gets low, and then when i go to settings, it recharges from the main battery, because i notice a main battery decrease for no reason when this happens.

what gives?

Have you let the main battery get very low recently at all? That will kill your backup battery in very short order.

I also think that a lot of the backup batteries are not shipping at 100% charge.

I'd pick up a new one, they're only a couple of bucks, I bet that will solve your problem.

i don't think it's gotten low recently. it reads 80% right now on the backup.

sheesh. guess i'll pick one up.

This has been discussed lots in this forum, do a search if you like, but the gist is that is the way it is. If it stays at 70% or above, just don't worry about it, my goes up and down in that general range and since the backup is not rechargable, it has to be a problem with the meter.
