View Full Version : Looking for MP3 player with fast-forward

I've looked at MS Media Player and WithMP3 and neither one offers the option to fast-forward through an MP3 file.

I often listen to long MP3s of talk radio to pass the time in the AM drive. When commercials come on or a boring segment, I'd like to FF past it.

In Windows, WinAMP lets you do this, as do most media players.

Does anyone know of an PPC audio player that supports Fast-Forward and Play lists?

Hmm.. PocketMusic has playlists, but no fast forward button - just a slider like WinAmp does. In fact it looks a lot like WinAmp.

 Enter "PocketPC MP3 player fast forward playlist" in Google and press the search button and you get a number of useful links. One of the MOST interesting is as follows:

My personal favorite is the GSPlayer... Small and easy to use, plays Mp3 and OGG. Aslo Supports FastForward/Rewind and playlists: http://www.geocities.com/punkunp/

Thanks TopDog, GS Player works great. Now if I could only figure out how the skins work.

I also very much like WinAmpaq found here. (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9719/)

It looks so much like WinAmp and if I can ever figure it out, it will use WinAmp skins.

Both (free) apps allow me to map a Button to the Fast-Forward so I think I am set now.

Thanks for all the help!

If you find out... give me a notice :-)

I don't understand a word(sign or what ever you call it) on the author's site ;-)
