OK. I give.
In a similar situation to one of Jason's recent posts, I am on a fresh install and update of both Win XP and Office XP with a fresh download and install of Activesync 3.6.

I plug in to sync, and I get:
"1 unresolved item"
in my Inbox sync. I try to resolve it using the standard "Resolve Items" and NOTHING!!!

I have taken it from 7 to 6 to 5 to 4......days of E-mail syncing, all the way down to 1 and then 0 days.
O days seems to fix it, BUT THEN I HAVE NO E-MAIL!!!

This has been going on for about a week now and I feel like i have exhausted everything. Someone tell me there is a trick or a fix. PLEASE!!!

Activesync....Activestink....Activesuck....AHHHHH!!!!

I had the same issue before and I had to delete the partnership on the PC and create a new partnership to fix the issue.

I found something that seems to have worked, but I don't know if I like how it works.

Under Options and Rules, I changed the conflict resolution on both desktop and server to "Always replace the item on my device". I guess that tells me that the problem was on my PPC?

Not sure if I like this option, but it work for now.

Chances are you had a big attachment come through your email recently, and either didn't have enough memory on your device for it, or couldn't synch it because it was un-synchable (like a Word doc with a table embedded).

I've had this in the past and for me, I've always been able to track this to one a specific email(s) causing the issue.

Here's what I always do:
1. While keeping your ActiveSync connection active, create a temporary email folder (on your desktop Outlook) and move ALL inbox emails to the temporary email folder. Obviously as ActiveSync resyncs your email, all emails are removed and there should be 0 unresolved items

2. In small groups (say 10), move your emails from the temp folder back to your inbox and wait for ActiveSync to resync your email and notify you if there is any unresolved items

3. If there's no unresolved items, repeat step 2 for the next set of emails

4. Once there is/are unresolved items, then you've narrowed your search for the offending email to the last set of emails you moved. Start moving that set of emails back to your temporary folder 1-by-1 until you locate the exact email causing the issue.

5. Once you locate the email, either delete it or permanently move it.
