It took us a while, but we've implemented some new code that will allow you to use your browser-based text size control to change the font size on the page. Right now it will work on everything except the forums. phpBB has some very quirky coding when it comes to fonts, and it's not something we can change. But for the home page, article pages, and every other non-forum page, you can change the font size. Because we use a smaller font for the right-hand column, if you set your browser to "smaller" these may become too small to read. We'll look at changing it, but in all honesty I think the default font size we currently have looks pretty good right now. This change is more for those of you who need things to be bigger, not smaller.

Sorry it took us so long - we've been working on some huge updates and this one just got bumped down in priority a little. But I'm glad you like it!

I agree, excellent improvement for those of us with high resolution LCD monitors.

Thanks,

Of course people using Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org) can change the fonts on the forums anyway, or any oher page for that matter (Ctrl++, Crtl+-). Thanks for working around IE's shortcomings, b/c there are times when it must be used.

Wish they'd bring Moz to the PPC.

I set mine to "Smaller" and it gives me more "room" on the from page, if you know what I mean.

Where do you go to change the size?

In IE, it's "View>Text Size."

Hmmm....I'm partially sighted and have always been using large font sizes for viewing this site with out any problems in the past. However, now I'm having real problems which are being caused by the 'mobile planet' ad running on the left hand side of the page. As it cycles through the images - image 2 of 7 is displayed larger than all the others....this now cause the page text to jump to the right every 15/20 seconds...this is very irritating and represents a backwards step as far as accessibility for disabled people. I hope you can resolve this problem.

Regards
David

Hah! Just checked it out on 'smallest' font for a hoot, and it looks like mostly dots and dashes.

Thanks for the heads-up - we'll look into it ASAP.

I noticed that with IE set to "smaller" or "smallest," the text in the sidebars is almost unreadable unless I have ClearType turned on in XP. (It's on all the time for me, but I happened to view the page on a friend's Win2K box with his font size set to "Smaller" and was unable to read the text. After I set the size to "Medium" everything was okay.
