I have a choice in the start menu called default. If I go and delete it in file explorer, it keeps coming back! :bad-words: I don't think it is a program, and "Remover" doesn't find anything. Thanks,
Justin.

I assume you have checked out Start>Settings>Menus? Just making sure...

What applications have you installed lately? It's got to have been placed there during some installation procedure.

It is in there, but I have unchecked it. It usually coles back after about a day or so. As for apps, WinamPAQ and taskPLUS. I have hads those for quite a while though. Oi!

Does it usually come back after a soft reset? See what's in your Startup folder...

Check in your File Explorer. Is this default icon a shortcut to a program, or is it the program itself?

If it's a shortcut, check the file properties to see where the shortcut is coming from. That may give you an idea of how it got there (especially if pointing to a folder inside your "Program Files" folder).

Otherwise, Steve had a good suggestion, I'd delete the icon and then soft-reboot and see if it comes back. If it comes back, there's likely something going on in your startup.

I checked my startup, nothing. Did a soft reset. I found the icon in my programs folder, and when I click it, I get the "there is no applicatiob . . . " error.I deleted it there, thanks

Another totally random idea:

Using ActiveSync, copy the file to your desktop and open it in Notepad. What does it say? (It'll show you the name of the file it's "pointing to")

I thought he should be able to do that from file explorer by holding down on the file and then selecting properties? No?

Nope. There's no "Properties" option. Annoying, isn't it?

That's why I bought DEXplor (http://dexplor.com/), myself. :)

I like the features on that... you find that product to be pretty stable?

Yes. Only problem is that it's slower, but I infinitely prefer the view to Resco. Dan has said he's working on the speed problem, so I'll be glad when the next version comes out.

Well, as of right now it is gone, but it has done that before... Thanks for the help if it stays away! :D

If it comes back, I think Janak and I have provided about a half-dozen ways to check where the shortcut may be pointing to. :D

I'd be curious to find out if it comes back. Keep us posted.
