The Vaja Case is awesome! But..

I just recieved my Vaja case from Vaja corp. I must say this case is absolutely beautiful. It was well worth the money paid(its a custom case so a little pricey). The problem is with my wife and sister in laws reaction to the case. Keep in mind that they dont know how much the case costs so they are a very unbiased oppinion. My wife took a look at it and went" ewww its brown" I was floored! She said she liked the case that came with the Axim! Thats when I had to point out the craftsmanship that went into making the case ad the attention to detail that was put into the case. I even showed her the leather pouch they give you to store the case in when not hugging the axim in is loving leather arms! She was not impressed. So my SIL came over and she knew I had been waiting for this case since I got my Axim months ago. She came over and sat down and said so let me see it. I pulled ity out of it sack and she just looked at me.. with a weird look on her face she siad" I like the other one(meaning the case that came with it) I was stunned and couldnt believe what I heard. The Vaja case is a nice Brown leather form fitted case that just screams SEXY! The piece of @#$* case that came with the Axim is a black pleather bahemoth of a case that always rubbed at the top corner of my little Axim. Am I missing something? I guess as long as I like it it doent matter but Please! I'm especially intersted in what the ladies of the forum think about this. Am I nuts or are my wife and her sister. LOL that ould make a great pole(HEHE) Jeff

I happen to own a brown Vaja case for my ppc and I love it! I've had it for well over a year now and it's like a second skin to my ppc. I had a black one, and I exchanged it. Weird 'cause normally I'd have picked black as most of my accessories are (even my purse is), but it just didn't have the same leather look as my brown one does.

well, if i buy a vaja case, my girlfriend will kill me. No doubt. And with good reason! $150 for a case? You got to be nuts!! :) That´s 75% the price of the axim!!! :mrgreen:

PD. Krusell cases cost $19.95 and are as nice and good quality as the vaja ones.

Oh well, i was thinking price was the issue. A vaja morpheus case can cost $150, plus $20 Shipping, that´s $170 for a case, you can buy a new pda with that. Of course, another cases are cheaper, and you can have one for $50, wich is still expensive but well... returning to the cases issue, i don´t see why a women will not like a nice leather case if she doesn´t know the price... because if she knows it, then she´ll tell you, "well, i can buy a purse with that, and you buy a lousy case?! " :) :)
But then you can say: "Hey, you know your purse cost a lot more" :twisted:

That's BS. I prefer brown leather over black leather in many cases. If I got a leather case for my axim I would probably pick brown. And I hate generalizations!!!!!

This guy's wife and SIL are both nuts. But he's nuts too for spending that kind of money on a case!

Based on the reviews of the Belkin case that have been posted so far, it looks like I'll be going with the Proporta/Innopocket/Rhinoskin aluminum case....of course I think I'll wait till Andy posts his review just in case....that will be soon right?

That's just my opinion. Sorry if I upset you. :oops: It's just when I look around in my area a lot of women are wearing black leather... boots, coats, pants even. The only brown leather I see are suede jackets and boots, kind of a buckskin look ya know. I have seen some brown leather shoes though. Maybe it's because I'm surrounded by colleges?

Back to cases, Does anyone know who makes that V shaped twotone deal for Pocket PC's?

BTW I just ordered the iPaq 3900 with PC Card snap case (Viteno Jean style) and the total after shipping and customization (Don't Panic! on the cover) was $176 and change.

Sena mainly make cases for the Sony Clie, just started making Axim ones. I have ordered one in black/red, there is no indication of when it will be delivered.

I guess it's just the bowler in me but I like those Sena cases (Thanks for the link dh :beer: ). Axim accessory options are sure coming out fast. Yeah lots of guys in black leather too but there are a lot of brown distressed leather jackets on guys especially during the weekends for some reason.

Thanks for sharing that story. I'm with you. I can't imagine how that black tank-bag can be seen as better than a brown leather Vaja.

I saw the black out-of-box Dell pouch the other day b/c my boss just got an X5. He actually likes it and was surprised when I looked at it and said, "I see why everyone's been complaining about this..."

On the other hand, your mother and SIL may not understand why form-fitting is better with a PPC (they may not be thinking portability and ease of accessibility when comparing the two)... or they may have some pre-bias against the brown leather. Who knows?
