A few days ago, I discovered an excellent band from Slovenia, called Regina. I was wondering what some of their lyrics meant, since they only gave them in Slovenian.
Can anyone translate this song? (http://www.reginakogoj.com/glasgora_tekst.htm.htm)

I wonder if anyone here does speak Slovenian... :)

If my Grandmother was still alive.... I'm second generation American - Slovenian, but the only words I know are for slippers and eggs (don't ask  ), and I used to sing a Slovenian song as a kid, but can't remember it for the life of me now!!

All I can find is the title means "The Voice Of The Mountains" and it came 3rd in the contest to be the Slovenian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest for 1998.

i found a translator for you, [email protected] on a google search 'slovenian english translate'

good luck

Sheynk- I can speak some Ukrainian too, but not Slovenian either... :)

Robert_uk- Thanks. By the way, will that person you mentioned translate for free, or does he charge?

hi, he was listed as being someone who does freelance translations on http://www.slavophilia.net/slovenia/translate.htm, but i would suggest you email saying you found his contact as below (which i have just found by searching for his email on google) as someone connected with slovenian studies, and u are looking for a translation for the song. he may be happy to oblige for free. the song is quite short anyway. it's worth a shot.
good luck
