I'm sorry if this is too basic a question but, as the subject says, what is "secure" about SD cards?
Are files on a SD card more secure than if they were on a CF card?
Does the answer change if you encrypt the files on either type of card?
Thanks!

The SD card has a write protect lock on it similar to floppies used to have. With this in the lock position(as far as I know) you can not write to or remove files from the card.

In a nutshell, SD cards contain "Security Areas" to hide away DRM and Encryption keys. In reality, I don't think many (if any) devices even use these features. Someone feel free to explain better.
