Hi,
Anybody a solution for my problem ?

I have a XDA PPC and TT Navigator software connected with a Leadtek GPS mouse.
Is it possible to transfer the incoming satellite data (lat/long) to my desktop PC at home via GPRS ?
I want to log my trip realtime on a map.

LOL, I had to re-read your post 2-3 times before I truly understood what you were trying to do. I thought you wanted to track your car as the thiefs were driving away with it.

I use this to do so - http://www.memory-map.com/ - would mean a purchase though! Not sure if your setup is feasible - is there an 'export data' option in the ppc software at all?

I think this is a solution if anyone want to check his route later on - If you've used a GPS you can check your track-log and see exactly where you've been on the map
But my question is: Is it possible to upload the lat/long coordinates real-time to my desktop PC and log the received coordinates on a map :?:

What about using the anti-theft idea? Have a look at www.NavTrak.com

phillip is close to doing something like this, this is from a while back and not much has happened since but it's got a lot of potential.

isn't there going to be lacation based services coming or in the latest cell phones? I think we're pretty close to having what you, and me, want with this stuff. I want to be able to jump on the internet and locate exactly where somebody is or someone can see where I am ect. some people might think that's creeper, maybe in 10 years it will be, but right now it's the gadget cutting edge.

HI,

I found these Website, a PPC version of GEM is out !
http://www.schaik.com/gps/pocketgem/pocketgem.html

I think the remark "I have already many plans with this little animal. When more PDA's will become internet connected, on-line downloading will definitely become a feature, but I'm also thinking about sending coordinates from the PDA to a Gem on the desktop. " is very hopefull.
