Hello forum!

You've heard all the rumors about it...Wi-Fi enabled? New bigger screen? What else? Now we can find out for ourselves...

The new e750 will be demoed by Toshiba Systems Engineer JD Duncan at our next meeting!

His managers are assemblling a promotional package for him to show off this highly anticipated PDA along with its accessories! He will also welcome any user feedback you may have regarding their other PDAs/Notebooks/Tablets and give us an update of what Toshiba has in store for us down the line!

JD is a very knowledgeable and all-around friendly person and is looking forward to meeting us and also being a member! I'm sure you all will enjoy his presence at the meeting!

Where: UCSF, School of Dentistry, 707 Parnassus Avenue, Room D-2009, San Francisco, CA 94143
When: Wednesday, March 19, at 7PM

The meeting will start with "Shawna's Social Beam", followed by JD Duncan's e750 presentation, and then an open forum!

More details to come! Visit our new site and forums at www.mobilecomputingsig.com!

For what the unit looks to be (become) I might just push my dislike for Toshiba's "To Square Desgn for something you use in the palm of your hand" thoughts, and throw em out the window.

Anyone know what that little red dot below the app buttons is? Is it just a sticker?

I'm looking forward to a lot of info from you guys attending the meeting.

Another bad movie quote:
<fifth-element-mode type="zorg">
"A true professional would have asked what the red button on the device does..."
*BOOOOM*
</fifth-element-mode>

So long,

Perhaps it is the unit's anti-theft mechanism. :roll:

Or perhaps a small camera that is constantly broadcasting so that Toshiba knows what you are doing at all times... :robot:

Just bought my e740 a couple of months ago, too. Sigh - the pace of technology. ;)

I like the design of the new Toshiba Pocket PCs (starting with the e310) because of the simple and elegant design. It's not flawed with elliptical d-pads or asker program buttons. The e750, or whatever this device is, certainly continues along the same design track as the e3xx/e740 Pocket PCs. 8)

seems that toshiba has been listening. transflective screen and removable battery! those were my two biggest beefs with the other pda's. With the Dell it's the lack of SDIO coupled with the lack of built-in wifi. Had the dell had SDIO I would have bought. this may be my baby. the hardware wifi button is nice too. I've always been an ipaq man but if the price is right...

Just FYI: The e740 had a removeable battery!

I believe the h1910 has both (removeable battery & transflective screen)

The 5450 has built in WiFi, a replaceable battery, SDIO, and a Translective Screen! :D

the H1910 is great for what it is, a small but and limited device. the 5450 does not have a Cf II slot. I didn;t knwo the old Toshiba had a removable battery. Just heard it had terrible batt. life.

Double post! Oddly, it was 22 minutes after the first one... :lol:
Double posts happen to everyone, but are usually within 1-2 minutes (because someone might have pushed the "submit" button twice by mistake...)
