A coworker is going to San Jose tomorrow, for work.

In need of a good 256MB SD card, I had hoped he could bring one along for me (I'm in Europe). I read some horror stories on Sandisk, and that's the only brand I can find locally. So I had hoped he could find another brand like Viking or Lexar.

Where could he find such cards in San Jose? Does Fry's carry these in-store (not on their online shop Outpost.com)?

Thanks!

I'd be shocked if Fry's didn't have them in-store. I haven't been to a Fry's in a while, though, so I can't say for sure.

I do know that CompUSA on Blossom Hill (between Chesbro and Cahalan) carries SD cards, but most are SanDisk. I think they also had some Lexar ones, but I don't remember if they had 256 MB cards or what the prices were.

Even a place like Circuit City or Good Guys would have them. Both on Stevens Creek near Valley Fair shopping mall. I purchased a Panisonic 128 card at Good Guys about 6-8 months ago. Can't remember the price. (Not that it matters. Prices have dropped so much. )
