I am having alot of trouble with my IPAQ and I think you guys may be able to help. I have an IPAQ 3150 and I upgraded to Pocket PC 2002. I then tried to revert back to the old OS, Pocket PC 2000. That is where the trouble comes in. The IPAQ 3150 is now stuck in parrot mode. Of course I can not use ActiveSync 3.5 to communicate with the IPAQ since no MS OS is running. Is it possible to restore Pocket PC 2002? Do you think the ROM image is corrupted? Is there a terminal emulator I can use to communicate with the IPAQ or flash the ROM? Most of all, where do I proceed from here? Thank you.

It does sound like the ROM image is corrupted. Apart from sending it back to Compaq, you could do bootloader-based recovery (http://www.pocketpcpassion.com/iPAQ/Parrot/debug.htm), but this is predicated on you knowing someone else having a 3100-series unit, plus a CF card and a serial cable.
