Hello,

I have read that SanDisk is about to sell new SDCards that have both Memory AND Wi-Fi features, in 2 capacities: 128Mb and 256Mb.

This is exactly what I am looking for...

Can someone tell me if these cards are available or when they should be?

Thanks
N.

I think Sandisk should release it in June, I'm waiting for it too. Wifi capability without a sleeve on a 3970 would be great :).
Wonder what the range of the card will be. They shouldn't be able to make a large antenna on such a small card....

Wouter.

@ux4484: Where? :D Do you have a link?

according to this (http://www.sandisk.com/pressrelease/030109_wifi.htm), it should be available this month (the CF version anyways)
I should have said......about now

From the Sandisk press release:

"The Wi-Fi (802.11b) CF and SD Connect cards have a suggested retail price of $99.95. The dual-function CF cards with 128MB of capacity will be priced at $129.95 while the dual-function 256MB SD cards will be priced at $149.95. The CF Wi-Fi card is available now, the CF dual-function card and the SD Wi-Fi card will be available in March and the SD dual-function card is expected to ship at mid-year. The CF pricing includes a PC card adapter for notebook and laptop owners. SanDisk Connect cards will be sold in many of the 50,000 retail stores worldwide where SanDisk branded products are sold. "

So, a 3970 has SDIO? Not disputing that. Just wonder if there is some place that has verified and cataloged the various manufacturers models as having just SD or SDIO slots. Wouldn't it have been sweet if the Viewsonic or HP 1910 did. (AFAIK they are just SD, true?)

There are sites like Dave's PDA (http://www.davespda.com), but it doesn't necessarily have the same info for all the handhelds... I agree... A feature chart would be nice so you could tell at a glance.
