Cheap! If I didn't already have two 512 MB cards (one for each digital camera) I'm sure I'd buy this...but what I'm really waiting for is the price of 512 MB SD cards to drop below $100 US. Anyone seen that happen yet?

I guess this must be the real buy.com "price mistake of the day". Congrats to anyone who got in on the deal. I knew the prices were dropping but didn't think it would drop that much. I'm also waiting for the SD prices to drop so I can free up my CF slot for other I/O modules.

They do charge a handling fee even if you select the free-shipping option. That bites. Oh well, I'm sitting happy with my 1GB SanDisk CF for $140 AR. Whoo hoo!

Wow, flash ram prices are dropping like ram did years ago. I bet this time next year we will see 1gb SD cards in the 100-150 price range :)

I think this is buy.com's "item currently out of stock" or "item backordered" price

So they raised the price a minute after Jason posted huh? They're quick...

If you look at the mail in rebate, you will notice that it is not ony for the 512MB CF card, but also for the 512MB SD card. 50$ off.

A cautionary note: my $50 rebate on a Viking modem took six months to arrive.

The $50 rebate for this same CF card from Amazon took about two months to get to me. Not great, but certainly not as bad as some rebates. As always, though, your mileage may vary.

same experience for me with the Viking rebate. Took about 2 months to arrive from when I mailed in the rebate. tracking was available through www.wheresmyrebate.com

Now it's up to $109 after the mail in rebate, and will be "in stock soon".

My last rebate from Viking took about 2 months to arrive.
