I have been looking for the Pocket PC 2002 for my Em-500 for some time. Can anyone lead me to the right site to either download it or to buy a cd? Also, I recently bought a 128 MB memory card and am having problems using it on my media player. It skips at regular intervals and when I try to go to a specific song, it sometimes misses the title and goes to a title nearby. Any help?

Sorry, you can't upgrade the EM-500 to PPC2002

A more technical explanation: the EM-500 doesn't have flash memory, plus you need an ARM/XScale processor; the EM-500 has a MIPS chip.

As for the media player, try using a different one, like PocketMVP (www.pocketmvp.com). BTW, have you installed the SD update for the EM-500? The card itself may be having issues with the unit...

Janak,
Where can you get this SD update?

From here (http://www.casio.com/support/index.cfm?page=/support/Software/cassSoftware.html).

Look for the "Update Pack v1.04".

Thanks, Janak!

Looks like I already have it installed!

I already have the update version 1.04 and 2.4 I still get a skip at a regular interval with my 128 MB SD card. I tried a 64 MB SD card and it works fine. Is there a compatability issue I don't know about? How do I know if my card is defective?

Try Storage Tools. It's a nice utility that checks your storage card for defects, repairs and defrags. I downloaded the eval version and found it to work well. The defrag option expires in the eval version, but everythink else continues to work. I am considering purchasing it.
