I have a toshiba e740, Im using it in conjunction with my AIWA cd player in my truck that has an AUX-IN on the front to play Mp3's on the road. It works GREAT except for one problem. When playing Mp3's through the cd player line in while running the pocket PC on battery power the sound is clean as can be. However, when playing Mp3's through the pocket PC while using the cigarrette ligher AC adapter for powering the pocket PC it makes the sound VERY hissy and I get a ton of line noise. Anyone know a way to clean this sound up while using the AC adapter for my e740?

Thanks!
Derek

I know this can be tricky with a PocketPC but grounding your ppc in some way to the frame of the car could help

your getting Alternator whine.

VERY common with improper grounded car stereo's. your Cig adaptor is not grounded enough to stop the whine, it don't need to be grounded that well... so your going to get the whine, and the PPC is not designed to be grounded like that while being powered externaly.

Not sure what you can do beyond getting the Cig adapter grounded better.
