WNet example?

Are there any WNet examples out there for eVB that show you how to do things like search for machines on the network and map folders? eVB seems very limited in what it can do and I thought about switching to eVC++ but after taking a look at just the Hello World app it looks like a nightmare. There don’t seem to be too many go books out there about using eVC++. Also, are there any good socket libraries for eVB? The Winsock control is a bit limited and I would like to be able to set my own timeout on connection attempts.
