Office 11 will rely heavily on Extensible Markup Language (XML), the lingua franca of Web services, to record and display data more flexibly."<br /><br />More information is now available from the <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/infopath/default.asp">Microsoft site</a>. Unfortunately, they seem to be delaying the Pocket PC implementations, according to <a href="http://gcn.com/vol1_no1/daily-updates/21128-1.html">this article</a>. Let's hope that gets rectified soon.

Maybe they didn't want to interfere with XBox?

The "XDocs" name invokes memories of ActiveX Documents. That is something that most IT shops would rather forget as soon as possible.

XDocs isn't really an Acrobat killer though. It's more of a data entry solution. (Which I am really anxious to try as a point of sale solution).

Sign up for hte Office 11 Beta 2 CPP though... (can't say any more cause of an nda).
