I'm just got a 740E and getting back into the PPC since my em500. Just wanted to know what is the best program to use on a 740E to kill running programs or task switch I guess. Back in the day's I was using pocketnav. But I don't know in today's standard what to use?

There's no real standard.

For the longest time, I used GigaBar (http://www.gigabar.com/). Kind of complicated to figure out at first, but incredibly powerful. You can do almost anything with GigaBar...close programs, take screenshots, go to any Settings, show Today, use the Ctrl or Alt function, or even use it as a file explorer.

For the past week or so, I've been using Magic Button (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8144&highlight=magic+button). It's very simple, keeps your Task Bar clean, and gets the job done.

Those are the only two I have experience with.

PS - this could go in the software forum, where it will attract more responses  Steve...

I have settled happily with ICBar http://icbar.ictinus.com/. It is free, relatively simple to use and works without any problems. Has quick battery, memory and frontlight setting access without cluttering up the home window.

I always use the pre-installed Home app to kill programs. Works fine and quick with me
