ZD Net have released an article titled "What's .Net got for the mobile developer?" discussing the .NET Compact Framework
http://techupdate.zdnet.co.uk/story/0,,t481-s2129510,00.html

It has a fairly brief outline of what is included and what is not

Very brief article. I saw that they had mentioned SQL Server for CE, or something along those lines. If you want to use that functionality on the .Net CF, I think that you have to install another .CAB file which is approximately 1.8 MB  in files! So the .Net CF can be as large as 3+ MB 8O

So, let's all hope that the next generation PDAs have all this in ROM, or just give us PDAs with a lot more RAM!

The main compact framework is the biggest bit but yep, they will all be installed in the rom of future Pocket PCs and MS has already sent the files to manufacturers :0) Will be a real relief for us developers as creating an easy installation is a nightmare :0)
