How much do you think I can get for this?

PIII 650 MHz
512 PC133 SD-RAM
8x DVD-Rom
8x-24x-4x CD-RW
13.5 GB HD
128MB DDR Nvidia GeForce 3 4200
15" monitor
2.1 Altec Lansing sound
Santa Cruz: Turtle Beach soundh (not sure of model)
Eithernet Card
Floppy (duh)
MSFT Sidewinder Pro

Please give me an honest oppinion on how much can I expect if I would do a trade in or sell the system.

Thanks for your help

Unfortunately, not too much. Given that Dell sometimes has deals for P4 machines for around $500, I would say that you probably can get around $250-$300 for your machine.

I would generally agree with the last post......probably around $250 max...you could aways ask for more and hope folks haven't been looking at the newer E-Machines bundles or hit the Dell \ Gateway website....

I think you could sell it for about $250. If you traded it in at a used computer store, maybe $175. The used desktop market stinks right now, because of all the new computer deals out there.

Alright, while we are on this topic, would you mind giving me an estimate quote on my (rather similar) machine?

PIII 500 MHz
384 PC133 SD-RAM
8x DVD-Rom
8x-24x-4x CD-RW
TWO 80 GB HDs, and could include a 20GB hard drive as well
64mb Nvidia VIdeo Card
17" monitor
Creative SB Live Lansing sound
Eithernet Card
Floppy
2 USB 1.1 and 4 USB 2.0
56k Modem
Gateway Multi- Function keyboard (volume controls and such)
NO WARRANTEE

how much do you think I could get for that? I do not think I am even going to sell it since, as you said, I probably wont get much, but could possibly buy a lower end machine then just salvage the parts...What do you think?

Not really. Do you want them to keep prices artificially high? :)
