PGP has a CE version of their software that allows me to encrypt any editable text on the Pocket PC with the push of a button. It is a two step process to encrypt or decrypt text within the "Notes" tab in a contact but now I have the ultimate in encryption. All my data is encrypted in AES256. You have your choice of Algorithms locally for conventional encryption (IDEA, AES128, AES192, AES256, CAST5 and TripleDES). If you purchase the desktop version (which I did) you can encrypt and decrypt your data within Outlook. Send and receive encrypted emails and on and on.....

PGP Desktop, as in the $80 version? Although the functionality of being able to encrypt in desktop Outlook and decrypt in the PPC is nice, it sure seems like a lot to pay.

PGP Personal is 50.00 if you include WinCE it's 70.00. I agree that the dollar amount is a little high but the functionality and flexabilty is unlimted. As long as it's editable text you can encrypt it. And you don't have to store your information in another application such as CodeWallet. And the Desktop application is Awesome.... You also have to understand that most PPC encryption applications are specific to that application only and not across the entire device and are also only 128bit and usually only one algorithm.

Thanks for your thoughts Wojo. I agree that PGP does offer a lot of flexibility. I use it for work purposes so I'm somewhat familiar with it. The $70-$80 is jsut a hard nut to swallow. :cry:
