I think it's required that you wear white go-go boots when you carry that thing... 8O

Uh, well....whatever floats your boat I guess. Though I can't imagine what guy will want to carry a musical purse around. :?

Relax, Foo. This accessory seems to be a hit in Japan. I don't think it would take off here, at least not amongst males. However, I could see the guys hanging in the 'hood with their trunk open and the massive speakers plugged into to an iPod spray-painted black. :D

Me, I was drooling over the vest. A little. (Where's Brad "Vestus" Adrian when you need him to proclaim your geekhood for saying that? ;))

Good point. The jacket costs more than the iPod. 8O

...spent a year in Japan and I'm not surprised if this is hitting big there. They love trying funky stuff. The price tag of 10,800 yen (roughly $90USD) is much cheaper than I would have guessed. The purses I typically see in most dept stores can easily run well over $500USD!!

Is it like those European man-purses? :)

I know, I'm xenophobic...

P.S. I can see Martha Stewart hocking and using it tho...

All that's missing is an opening to show where your wallet is, so it'll be easier for the muggers. :)

If it made pecs look bigger, maybe they'd have a market. And why not a fake six-pack for the abs, too? :-D

And now, for your delictation, my sensitive side.....

Bwahahahahahhahahaha

"...in a diluted fashion..." ???!!!???

Pray tell, how does one "dilute" adrogyny?? Hermaphroditism is hardly a dilution of anything for heavens' sake!

I'm off to buy a "man-purse" for my Ipod. 8)

[Shakes Head]

I love how they compared this style to previous "shocking" styles like ripped up T-shirts. Uh, none of those styles had you confused for the opposite sex!

Next they'll introduce womens slacks with a... oh never mind!!

I mean really, I have a friend (guy) that has a purse, we used to make fun of him all the time. If he started wearing the Marilyn Manson shirt then I'd really have to start questioning his sanity. I think his girlfriend would be pretty pissed too.

Suddenly I feel somewhat more glad I moved out of Sydney. :)

It's funny how the article says in a few years it could be possible that men wear this, ya right on what planet? Punk styles and ripped tshirts were one thing but like stated here, you still knew what sex that individual was!

In regards to the ipod bag, in japan it seems anything goes. Fads come and go so quickly and a clear case section showing off your ipod would be dumb. Imagine all the lookie-loo's just waiting to snap your bag, might as well just carry around a clear purse and show everyone what you are carrying.

Yeah, it would be a risky thing to use anywhere outside of Japan. Japan is the safest country I've ever been to and I'd actually have NO concerns carrying this around there (not that I'd want to).

I think this was just a typo... the person must have meant "... in a deluded fashion..."
