Which freeware app gives battery working time left and/or accurate % used (not the 75%, 50%, etc.)?

Thanks in advance.

I would go with Battery Pack 2003. Its a great app that also shows the memory used and left. Its by OmegaOne and you can get it at Handango.

Thanks Bearjaw, I'll give it try. BTW, don't bite your Axim, it's strong enough but a Bearjaw... :D

Cheers.

I use the Omega Batter Pack too...It's not free, but out of all the others I've tried this is the best looking, and least obtrusive. Also its just $10 :)

The Today Meters display your batteries, memory and storage cards resources on the Today screen.

Display iPaq PCMCIA sleeve battery level
Display 2nd storage card use
Single meter for Program and Storage RAM
Tapping on a meter display the related setting page

There's an free app called UpTime that you can find on Handango. It gives you the battery percentage remaining and the time your PPC has been powered on since the last recharge (all on your today screen).

I personally don't like apps that try to guess how much time you have remaining. This can change so sporadically depending on what you're doing that I prefer to know how much time I've used it for. After a while you learn what you can or can't do based on the time you've used it and the percentage remaining.

I use Pocket Sys Watch with Dashboard (other apps only work with Today screen). It can display primary and sleeve battery, along with Program, Storage (separate or combined) Storage Card and iPAq File Store (if you have an iPAQ), all for $4.95. Pretty close to freeware. I have been using for 6 months without any problems.

Ah, I like Uptime. The timer feature is actually really convenient.

For a battery meter that I can always see (except for in full-screen apps), I use Gigabar with one of the special icons. I can always have an eye on battery status, although it doesn't give me a number, but just a sized bar.
