Been messing around with "Hotmail Popper" (http://www.boolean.ca/hotpop/) for the past day or so off and on, on the desktop side. Just synched with the PPC for the first time and it seemed to work fine.

Using this program, Hotmail acts as a POP account and can be synched through Activesync.

Hi

Is there any software that allows you to use pass through and grab your hotmail and put it straight into your PPC.

With this solution it looks like you need an e-mail Client on the desktop - i.e. Outlook.

Hotmail Popper = what I've been looking for for over two years. Smapdi636, you're my new hero! :D

Martin - I think Pocket Hotmail will do what you're looking for http://www.frieger.com/general.htm.

Are you saying you don't use Outlook? I'm a new PPC'er and hadn't used Outlook much prior to getting my PPC. I upgraded to it BECAUSE I was getting a PPC. I couldn't imagine not using Outlook now... The synchronization between my desktop and PPC would be....practically nonexistent without it!

JHM, glad this is of use to you.

Sometimes companies do not allow installation and use of Outlook on the desktop. I use Outlook home, but the installation and use of Outlook at work is expressly verboten.

Hi

Yep installing Outlook on a company laptop is a big no no. Get along just fine without it :-)

Forgive me if I am not following. What is the advantage of installing this program rather than just visiting the site via PIE? http://mobile.msn.com/pocketpc/menu.aspx

That IS the advantage. :)

Not having to visit that site via PIE and being able to use Outlook directly, which has it's own advantages over the web interface.
